Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter, and the sole son of Richard McCormick. Her father was an educator at school while her mother was a stay at home mom. There are three brothers older than her: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick started dancing and singing in her early years and would often perform puppet shows in front of the kids in her community. In the year she turned 6, McCormick won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley competition. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called McCormick to inquire whether she was interested in a career in show business. McCormick was commissioned to perform in her debut major part in 1964, in the tv spot for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. The following year she appeared in another commercial for Mattels Chatty Cathy doll and was shortly cast in the musical the play Wind It up and It Breaks in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the part of the oldest daughter in the three towheaded girls in The Brady Bunch. The show featured Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a new blended family. The show lasted for five years. McCormick admitted her story in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick was close to losing her Virginity in the hands of Barry Williams during the five-year run of the show. In 2008, McCormick revealed in her book Heres the Truth: surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice that during season five of the show, she was close to losing her virginity to actor Barry Williams. The incident could have occurred, she stated, but the time was never right for us.
