Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's kids - was born at Woodland Hills, California in 1956. Her mother was at home as a mother. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her elder brothers. McCormick began performing and singing from a young age. She won her first contest, the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 and was approached by Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to be a part of the show business. McCormick found her first role as an actress major in the year 1964. McCormick was in an advertisement for Mattels the newest doll baby Pattaburp. The commercial was re-run in the year 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was chosen to play the lead role in the play Wind It up and It is Broken, a show in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, who was selected from over 200 auditioned kids, played the older of three two-headed daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969), starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The five-year run of the show was a great success. In her book Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice released in 2008, McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season, she almost lost her virginity due to her onscreen co-star and brother Barry Williams. In 2008, McCormick revealed in her book Heres the Truth: surviving Marcia Brady and Identifying My True Voice that during season five of the show, she nearly lost her virginity to Barry Williams. It was likely that we would have a romantic relationship, said she. However, the timing was not right.
