Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox is a Scottish born and bred singer. Her birth date was 25, December, 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name used by her parents. Lennox won a scholarship award to attend London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. Her budget was supplemented by a stipend for students as well as part-time employment. Lennox felt that her skills were inferior to those of those of her Royal Academy classmates. So she started thinking of other options she could pursue. Lennox played the flute in the band Dragons Playground. She quit the band prior to New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. The singer was the primary voice in The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to the year 1980. This is where she first got to know Dave Stewart with whom she formed her pop group Eurythmics. Lennox then began to work on her debut solo album Diva, which was released in 1992. This album became a huge hit with regard to selling and the critical acclaim. Nostalgia Lennoxs six solo album was released in the month of October 2014. included Nostalgia Lennox. This C.D. contains a collection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul songs from her childhood. Lepidoptera is a collection of four impromptu piano pieces was released by Lennox in the month of May, 2019. This E.P. The first single from her debut album"Now I Letting You Go... was released as an accompaniment to her installation of work at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954 is an Scottish philanthropist political activist and singer-songwriter. The Tourists had a minor popularity in the latter part of the 1970s. Lennox and Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, proceeded to become famous internationally in the 1990s when they formed the Eurythmics. In 1992 Lennox began her solo career by releasing her debut album Diva that produced a number of hit tracks, including Why and Walking in Broken Glass.
